Mountain Birding
Birding in Montana's Scenic Mission Valley
Schedule & Trip Details
Currently we run birding trips on every weekend during the spring migration.

We have single, and multi-day trips. We highly recommend an overnight stay in the field. That way you'll wake up and catch the birds when they are most active - the early morning. If tent camping isn't your thing, there are a few hotels around that we would happy to refer you to. We can pick you up at the hotel in the morning or you can meet us.

Our groups are small so you'll get to know your guide well. You won't have to battle for good position in the vehicle and most of our time will be spent walking and sitting outside where you will have the freedom to watch any number of birds in front of your (or take a nap in the grass).

For all trips: Please let us know if you have any special needs that we can accommodate, e.g. vegan, vegetarian, food allergies, disabilities, etc. PRIOR TO YOUR TRIP. Please bring your own scopes and binoculars. Let us know ahead of time if you don't have any.

Single-Day Excursions

High overhead due to the cost of gas and food in our area means that running a tour with a single-person-group costs more than we would like to charge. We apologize for the high single person prices and encourage you to read the "ways to get a discount list" on the price of your trip.

Note: We will not charge you the "single person rate" if another birder is signed up for the same day. We will, for pricing purposes, consider you a group.

Single Person Day Trip Base Price (without discounts): $73

WAYS TO GET A DISCOUNT
(all discounts must be discussed with a Mountain Birding rep, prior to departure on birding trips)
